Physical Attestation Disclosure

  • The Comprehensive Career Boat Building Program is physically demanding and requires all applicants to:
    • Repeatedly lift items of up to 50 lbs throughout the day
    • Work with their arms above their head for long periods of time
    • Kneel and walk for long periods of time on cement surfaces
    • Stand roughly 6 hours a day
    • Bend/stoop, squat/crouch, climb, and the day
    • Be able to climb up and down ladders repeatedly
    • Work and move around, under, inside and outside of boats
    • Work around moving equipment
    • Work in tight/small spaces
    • Work among and with very noisy machines and power tools
    • Work among dust particles and wear appropriate safety gear
    • Operate hand and power tools for long periods of time
    • And to work in close proximity to fellow classmates and Faculty

    Applicants who are uncertain of their physical ability to satisfy any of these requirements should contact the Admissions Advisor to discuss any concerns.
