Great Lakes Boat Building School, which teaches and inspires students in the art and craft of traditional and contemporary wooden boat building, announced today the launch of its newly revamped website. This newly redesigned website offers quick and easy access to essential information and features that offers a more comprehensive understanding of the School’s full-time hands-on learning curriculum. GLBBS’s new site also has dedicated section for different types of students (traditional, career changers, etc.) with updated School news (online Stem2Stern Blog) and events, the ability to schedule a campus visit, chat with a School representative, and even Apply for enrollment online.

The new website has a clean uncluttered design, improved functionality and enhanced rich content focused on the School’s mission to prepare the next generation of craftsmen and women for productive and rewarding careers in the marine trades.  The new website goes live today, October 19, 2016 and is located at the same address: http://www.glbbs.org.

“We are incredibly excited about our new website launch and the robust information it provides for prospective students, donors, and future employers to better understand the educational offering at Great Lakes Boat Building School” said Ryan Hinnen, Director of Student Services and Marketing for GLBBS.  “We believe the new site will allow visitors to learn about our history, our mission, and why we believe that we truly are ‘Building Craftsmen, One Boat at a Time’.”

GLBBS’ new website will be updated on a regular basis with updates on current student projects, donor activity, events, class offerings, and enrollment information.

To celebrate the launch, GLBBS is waiving its application fee.  Individuals interested in attending one of full-time vocational programs are encouraged to explore the website and apply online using the code “NEWWEB1”.
