**For Immediate Release**

CEDARVILLE, MI – Great Lakes Boat Building School (GLBBS) executive director for development, Ryan Hinnen, announced today that the school is launching a one day only opportunity help the school raise $100,000 in support of its academic initiatives.

During the “#Give2GLBBS $100,000 Challenge”, an anonymous donor has pledged to match, dollar-for-dollar, up to $50,000, all donations from supporters who give during a 24-hour period beginning on #GivingTuesday, November 27th at noon.  Donors are encouraged to visit the school’s website www.glbbs2019.wpengine.com, connect with them on Facebook, or to call the school at 906-484-1081 for more information.

“The Give2GLBBS $100,000 Challenge is an exciting opportunity for the school and our supporters,” said Hinnen, who will oversee the campaign. “This is a great opportunity to see your $25 donation make the difference of a $50 gift.  A $250 donation will have a $500 impact.”

Only donations received between noon (12:00p ET) on November 27th and noon on the 28th are eligible for the challenge. Cash donations can be made in person at Great Lakes Boat Building School. Donations via eCheck, credit, or debit cards are also accepted through the school’s website and by phone – these options will be made available on the 27th.

“These donations will have a direct impact on our students, with a portion of each donation going to scholarships, towards the upkeep and purchase equipment, and to provide the resources our students need to reach their goals,” said Hinnen.  “The generosity of our friends, family, and alumni over the years has been tremendous. We are very grateful to have an anonymous donor invest in our school in a way that encourages others to deepen their support.”
