CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

Great Lakes Boat Building School (GLBBS) continues to monitor and assess the situation regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19). GLBBS’ first and foremost concern revolves around student and staff health. Effective March 16, 2020, in an effort to reduce human interactions and potential spread of the virus, GLBBS will remain closed to the general public until further notice.

Completed Project

This design is of a shallow-draft, beamy daysailer with both an efficient gaff-rigged mainsail and a jib. It is an excellent step-up for beginning sailors who have learned on smaller, mainsail-only designs.

PROJECT SCOPE

A flat bottom skiff that rows well and can optionally be outfitted with a sailing mast. Designer Richard Kolin was inspired by Pete Culler’s Good Little Skiff.
