Hosted by Riverside Marina in Detroit, SURGE – Detroit River is a great opportunity for high school students and young adults from the Detroit area to dive in to the marine industry! While at the event, guests will be able to explore four marine industry sectors by participating in hands-on activities:

• Boat Experience and Safety – discover the greatest part of the marine industry – being out on the water!
• Engines/Propulsion – get your hands on what makes a boat go!
• Marine Systems and Electronics – TVs, Fish Finders, and air conditioners on a boat? Find out how all of that is possible!
• Manufacturing and Boat Building – learn the skills and techniques it takes to build a boat!
